Abstract

This research article critically examines the current state of Urdu research at the university level, focusing on its theoretical, practical, and linguistic dimensions. It explores essential stages of academic inquiry, including topic selection, research objectives, content analysis, linguistic clarity, and methodological rigor. The study highlights prevalent issues in university research culture, such as superficial approaches, lack of scientific methodology, academic dishonesty, and linguistic weaknesses. It also addresses deeper structural challenges like the absence of academic freedom, plagiarism, biased perspectives, and inadequate institutional support. Finally, the article proposes practical recommendations to enhance the quality and credibility of Urdu research and elevate it to globally recognized academic standards.
